Seeing 2 (pg. 91)

I think Cole ends her essay by quoting another author because the thoughts expressed in that quote struck her and sparked a lot of the thoughts and ideas she expressed in the essay. I think she quotes the other biologists and authors in her essay for the same reason, and because she uses the facts and philosophies she quotes from them to develop her own ideas and philosophies. I think there would not be as much of a difference if she were to end the last paragraph with the first sentence of that paragraph because it expresses the same ideas.
